What are your summer plans? We have some really exciting things planned but it will be different this year. Chloe has taken her A Levels and is having her first girls holiday away, to let down their hair, after her months of studying. This means that she is not coming on our holidays with us. She also needs to get a job to save up some money for University.
It is going to very strange going away as a family of four – I am sure I will worry somewhat. However, Chloe will have the dog at home which saves us having to find somewhere for her to go to! We left it late to book abroad this year and with the promise of a long hot summer here in the UK we are hoping that comes to fruition.
We are off to Weymouth for a week staying at the gorgeous Waterside Holiday Park and Spa then Erin and I head off for a special weekend away, leaving the boys to head home on their own.
Erin and I are going to Camp Bestival where we are camping for the first time. To make this extra special we are going with her best friend and mum. More information has been released on the line up

We are going to camp and thankfully have a new tent from Colemans. We are going to use the Holly Springs which is a six person tent with two bedrooms at either end of the tent. We think the girls will benefit from having separate sleeping areas as they will be spending four days together. Certainly a test of friendship!! I am hoping that the vis à vis BlackOut Bedroom configuration provides extra privacy, perfect for families with older children or couples. We are not the only ones camping as Chloe is again heading to reading and will use the tent with her friends. One thing Chloe learnt last year was that trips to the toilet in the night is dark! Therefore we have also got a lantern that we can use for nighttime toilet trips. Or for when the girls are asleep and Holly and me are enjoying a Pimms or two in the evening!
Once back from Camp Bestival we have another short break in Newquay planned. This summer is going to be spent on the road letting us see the best of British which is exciting.
