How much ‘me time’ do you get? I am finding that as the little ones are getting older I actually have less ‘me time’ than ever. I seem to be forever running them around, dropping off and picking up! They also go to bed later, which means that 7pm isn’t the magic time anymore when I can open the wine (okay – I still open the wine) and relax knowing the remote is mine, and I can pretty much do as I please.
Therefore I am very lucky as both OH and me are teachers, this means we get regular school holidays off and I have now found the answer to chilling out. I have over the past few years developed a real liking for beauty treatments and spa treatments. And I have tried many – from facials and massages to reflexology and I lipo. I also like going to different locations to experience day spas and Wahanda have made that easier than ever. Wahanda specialise in Health Beauty and Happiness and through their website you can find a whole range of great spa days click the link to take a peek.
What I love about day spa’s is that they are such peaceful days – I really come back feeling rejuvenated and because it’s a whole day I really do switch off and let time stand still. My perfect spa day normally involves my best friend. Since we have had the children our time spent together usually includes sitting in ball pits, standing at the side of football pitches or in family friendly restaurants. Therefore it is also great to spend quality time with her without our entourage.
My husband has really surprised me this year and has suggested that we have a weekend away at some point this year. Now we have done this before, we even went to Spain for five nights a couple of years ago but since having Erin we haven’t left the three of them. Little does he know that I am planning on initiating him into the world of Spa Breaks. There are some great offers at Wahanda, the spa breaks include accommodation, three course meals, use of facilities and all for the same price as staying at a normal hotel. So with valentines coming I am beginning to drop my not so subtle hints – like leaving the website open or even making it my homepage!!
Wish me luck and I’ll let you know if it works!

Haha! good luck with getting him to take the hints! If he’s anything like mine you could try sticking a post-it note to his head!
Hope you get to go, and have a great time chilling out x
It may come to that!!

I did get away to Lion Quays with my best friend at the end of last year and it was divine:

The snow/ice room is not for the faint-hearted!
p.s. Today is my ‘me’ time as my parents have my 22 month old all day. What have I done with it? Read other peoples blogs mostly inbetween cleaning the bathroom and ensuite and mopping the floor!
Thanks for sharing.
