Erin at 20 months has only just begun walking and I had found that she was getting very heavy and causing me to have backache with all the little carrying that I did. For example if I popped into a shop quickly I carried her, especially places like the pharmacy where its a hassle to get the buggy out. Now Erin is a chunk and it was taking it out on my back. Therefore when Lifft Sling offered me the opportunity to try one of their slings that are suitable for up to three yr olds I was interested. The sling is aimed to fit you, there are no fastenings or buckles which makes it a really simple design. They also grow with your child as it haves six carrying positions. However what I was interested to review was that it is scientifically proven to improve posture. It illustrates that carrying your child on your hip can cause damage to the spine.
I personally found carrying Erin in the sling really comfortable, she adored being so close to me aswell and snuggled in when she was sleepy which was lovely. I have used the sling on walks to the local park, when I am nipping into the local shops and also when I visited the luminarium where I wanted Erin to experience it without being in a buggy.
You can buy the Lifft sling in a range of colours directly from their website at the price of £49.99 or from many Boots stores which you can then get the advantage card points on.
It has helped with my back pain and I definately appreciated carrying her hands free. I liked the simple design of the sling and it is easy to throw in the wash.
I wish I had tried one sooner as I think I would have really had value for money from it.
The sling was gifted to me for the purpose of the review but the thoughts and opinions are all my own.
