Now that Dylan is ten I see more and more of his dad in his personality. Dylan is naturally quieter and more reserved than Chloe who is loud and overly confident. Dylan takes things in, he watches, he ponders and considers everything before acting.
Lee and Dylan share the same hobbies and the past couple of Saturday nights have allowed those joint hobbies to flourish. Dylan is football obsessed but not just about playing, he lives and breathes the games. He can recall players and statistics, he can name all the grounds and managers. Saturday nights Lee will often go to his snooker club and watch the results and Dyl has started going with him whilst the world cup is on.
Dylan and Lee have headed off together to watch the five o clock match the last few weekends. It is their boy time. After the match they then go and have a game of pool. Dylan has asked Lee to take him to the club for years and Lee has always said yes, then stalled on the when.
It is such a privilege to watch the boy turning to the teen. To watch my only son, grow and develop and watch him taking on the characteristics of his role model, of his dad. My two men, both chilled to the max.
