Erin spends Monday’s in the care of her granddad along with her younger cousin Olly. They always have a lovely day together and have a well tried and tested routine to their day.
After breakfast they play for a while and get ready to walk into town. Granddad uses the Britax B motion and we have added a buggyboard to it. Erin and Olly take it in turns using the board, the buggy and walking a bit. Once the banking and any jobs has been done they head to Druckers each week for a drink and a tea cake. They often entertain other customers and granddad normally has a tale to tell about their antics!
On occasion Olly might not be with them. Somehow Granddad has been suckered in by Erin and this means she can have a chocolate muffin instead of a teacake. Now my girl loves a chocolate muffin – in fact she loves cake full stop.
This week Monday morning arrived and Erin was delivered to Granddads at 7.10am as normal. Olly normally arrives after Erin and as time drew on he was later than normal. Granddad commented to Erin that maybe Olly wasn’t coming and with that the door burst open and he bounded in. Erin immediately pulled a face and sulked that she wouldn’t be getting a muffin now! Oh how disappointed she felt!
To reiterate her love of cakes last night my parents and uncle Sam came over for a bottle of gin (yes I said gin – mum drinks it like it’s going out of fashion)! We were discussing Sam turning 18 in the summer and he mentioned that he could get a tattoo to celebrate. With that the Sam and Chloe starting discussing possible designs. Sam was talking about having a sleeve and Chloe said about having an anchor on her ankle. Not to be outdone Erin then loudly announced she’d have a cake on her tummy!!
She does make us giggle that girl of ours!
Sharing is caring!
