Luxury Wedding Venue? Try Elmore Court, Gloucestershire

Fifteen years ago I said ‘I do’. Planning my wedding was something I really enjoyed, so much so that I would happily do it all again.  Heck I would even choose the same groom and bridesmaids!  I might have to add another little girl to the bridesmaids and I’d probably do something more for my hen weekend! I’d still wear my dress as I adored it.

I was recently invited to the launch of Elmore Court which is a luxury wedding venue in Gloucestershire. Wedding Venue Elmore Court, Gloucestershire has a strong traditional history. It was a family home for many centuries before the current owners inherited it in 2007. They were not wanting the upstairs and downstairs living and decided to renovate and build a party pad. Over the years the renovations have taken place in phases with the BBC documenting its journey. The final phase has now been completed and comprises of 16 bedrooms in the main house, a purpose built ‘GillyFlower’ which is for dinner and dancing. The final stage the coach house for the bride and her party, the night before the wedding.

I was invited to come and experience the hospitality and facilities on site.  I arrived armed with my camera and wanted to capture just why brides and grooms would love to choose Elmore Court as their luxury venue. When I was searching for a venue, I knew that I didn’t want to bump into another bride also enjoying her day. Elmore Court is an stunning venue where you have exclusive use.  The setting is breathtaking with so much ground around you.  The purpose built GillyFlower is the place to party and outside there is a wild area with firepits etc.

Before eating I was given a tour of the house and room after room took my breath away.

We ate in the dining room and feasted on lamb.

Getting married at Elmore Court

Exclusive hire of The House, Gardens and The Gillyflower for a day and a night, including important things like your choice of Bridal Suite, state of the art Sound and Lights and your own 2/3 bedroom ‘Coach House’ for the night before as well as lots more, costs between £3000 and £8500 depending on the day of the week and time of year.

Family Friendly rooms and more

The new accommodation set up gives a big nod to the need for family friendly accommodation which has been noticed as an expanding requirement for wedding parties. Hence the addition of the ‘house kitchen’.

On the second floor above the dining room is The Nursery where the young masters and ladies of the house were raised. This is a new suite and, no surprise, this room will be set up for families with a double and single bed (an additional children’s bed or cot can be added when required).

The General’s Room (named after a long-time tenant of this previous apartment and great friend of the Guises) has a double and bunk beds and again additional kids beds or cots can be added. Cheekily another new room on the same level has been called The Private’s Room.

The other new rooms in the once servant area are The Governess’ Room, The Butler’s Room, the Cooks and The Footman’s Room. All have en-suite bathrooms, except for the Governess and Footman Rooms that share an adjacent bathroom.

As I said, if I were getting married again this would be right up there in venues and the place to make any bride feel a million dollars!
