Healthy Morning routines to Adopt

Develop a sleep schedule

Like going to bed at the same time each working night, you should also aim to wake up at the same time every day. If we develop a great sleep schedule and wake our bodies up when necessary, we can break into the circadian rhythm and feel energised when we wake up while feeling sleepy when the correct time comes. When developing useful healthy morning routines and a sleep cycle is also known to help boost our metabolism and keep our physical self well and strong. Plus, who doesn’t want to feel energised every morning?

Brush your teeth as soon as you wake up

Dental experts recommend that we should brush our teeth immediately as soon as we get out of bed each morning as this helps create healthy morning routines. Throughout the night, plaque may build up on our teeth and gums and run the risk of enamel erosion and cavities. However, if we are brushing our teeth consistently each morning, this sets us up well and keeps maintains our oral hygiene.

This is especially the case for those who have clear aligners, invisible braces or metal braces as there can be a lot of bacteria build-up in the mouth. You should aim to rid your mouth of the build-up from when sleeping before you eat – this is a golden rule when it comes to oral hygiene! If you have night-only clear aligners, then it’s also important to remove them when you wake up and clean them too. Maintaining good oral hygiene practice should definitely become one of your morning habits.

Exercise

A third-morning healthy morning routine habit you can pick up in 2021 is taking some time to exercise. By exercise, we don’t necessarily mean vigorous exercise such as cardio – unless that’s what you are into. You can also opt for gentle stretching such as yoga, morning meditation or a ten-minute floor workout. It can be difficult to find the time to stay energetic throughout the day and there is nothing worse than not being able to wake up properly from a deep sleep. Choosing to follow some simple stretch routines will help wake your body up and set you up well for a great day.

Make time for breakfast

Dental experts recommend that you wait thirty minutes before eating after you brush your teeth. This is to make sure your teeth reap the benefits of your toothpaste and gives enough time for your saliva to do the job. After you’ve completed some of your morning routine, you should make time for breakfast. No matter what you usually eat for breakfast, eating something to kick start your metabolism for the day is worth it. Be sure to include something nutritious! The Spacegoods Rainbow Dust is a good alternative for a morning drink.

As well as giving your body the essentials it needs such as vitamins and nutrients, breakfast is also a great way to control your weight and provide good energy levels. Many often find that before lunchtime, they end up sluggish and have negative energy in them. However, making time for breakfast will ensure this doesn’t happen and will help boost some positivity.

Plan the day ahead

Further healthy morning routines to pick up in 2021 is planning each day as it comes. All too often, people plan too far ahead for the week then become even more stressed when we get more responsibilities thrown at us. With that being said, this doesn’t have to mean that we simply glide along and take each day as it comes. Although some people live by this rule, it can be rather detrimental to our stresses and anxieties surrounding planning in the long run.

Taking five or ten minutes at the start of each morning to revise your schedule and make plans for the day is a very useful way to stay on top of your priorities. We recommend that you keep a diary or notebook to journal your plans, goals and aspirations for the day ahead. Doing this will not only set you up well but also keep you on track to achieve what needs to be completed.
