Travelling with Holidays Gems

Travelling is one of life’s luxuries and I have so many places I plan to visit over the next ten years.  I enjoy everything about travelling from getting there to seeing the local sites, trying new foods and experiencing different cultures. I will try most things once to and will get involved with everything on offer.

Now that the children are older it is even easier to travel and we can do more short trips now that they enjoy the travelling aspect of getting to our destination.  The eldest has just gone away for a school trip to Ardeche and it has made me nostalgic for when I did similar things.

Therefore I am really pleased to be working with Holiday Gems over the coming months.  Holiday Gems offer delightfully cheap holidays which is a huge bonus.  Readers will know that I like a bargain and often share my tips and tricks over at Mums savvy savings so if a holiday company can deliver for less I will shout about it.

The blurb from Holiday Gems:

We provide a comprehensive range of travel services, including holidays, flights, hotels, insurance, car hire, airport parking and airport lounges. We also specialise in cruises and late deal holidays.

We offer an independent and impartial travel service tailored to your individual needs. Whether you are planning a trip in the UK or to the other side of the world – our professional travel service will cater for every need.

We know that buying online is often the better value alternative and this is certainly true of holidays.  Whether you are after the complete package holiday or just searching for a hotel Holiday Gems can help.  The destination guide will also help you narrow your options if you are unsure on where to head next for your adventure.  I went on holiday with three days notice last week and it was amazing.  Today I have again looked on the last minute deals and if only I could I would!!

I have been lucky to travel a fair bit this year visiting Spain, Barcelona, Florida and Corsica in the past twelve months I am always looking how to make my money travel further.  What is your top tip for securing a good holiday price?

  1. The last couple of times we’ve been away we have just gone for package holidays – I like the ease of knowing that everything is sorted for you, however, I think next time I will try and book things either online, or separately as I could definitely do it cheaper

  2. Oh Holiday Gems sounds fab. I am a bit hit and miss with holidays and sometimes pay way too much and soem times i get lovely reviews. Just back form reviewing a Villa in Portugal and last year a caravan park. A good mix!

  3. I think the best thing you can do is doing your homework. Research different dates, locations, hotels and check out what’s on offer on site and nearby to see, if you can make any savings. It’s fab to have a website do all the work though 😉

  4. Definitely to do an online search – see if there’s any other tips out there for shaving off the pounds. People are so generous online to help each other out – not to mention the companies offering things a bit cheaper.
