And she is off! After all the waiting Erin has found her feet and found the motivation to walk. I am not sure exactly why or what has got her going but I can now see the determination in her eyes that she wants to use her feet. It is nothing different to what we have been doing to encourage her over the past six months, but she now has a want.
I knew nothing would make her go until she was ready. It didn’t matter how many times the health visitor rang and asked us if she was walking or how many times other people asked.
But she is now off and and as always children develop at their own rate. So take heart if your child is not hitting the milestones at the expected times. Give them guidance and love and most will get there in their own time.

Hooray! Congratulations Erin. Now you can make Mummy chase after you, and escape with things you’re not meant to have picked up!
