As connosiours of wii games we have a wide range but we didn’t have a karaoke type game. Therefore when Wii Sing UK Hits arrived I was more than keen to try it out! Having played Lips and Singstar on their respective consoles I knew what to expect and this game didn’t disappoint. There is a great range of 40 tracks including Adele Chasing Pavements, James Blunt and classics like Madness and Queen.
There are a range of games and we liked ‘Blind’ where you had to sing parts of the song without the words! Other games include ‘Pass the mic’ and ‘Group battle’. What I like about this game and many of the other Wii games is they are interactive and have a social aspect. This game will be a firm family favourite at parties and is a great ice breaker too.
The graphics on the screen are good and the videos run with the tracks, although The timing can be a little out at times. The ability to sing is not essential but that is no different to other versions. The game came with two mics but another two can be added for extra fun!
The children enjoyed playing this and Chloe and her friends rated it highly as they knew the songs and had fun competing both against each other and singing together. It has an age rating if 12 that is only due to some if the lyrics having naughty words – but these words were bleeped out so I was happy to let Dylan play it aswell as nanny 😉
The game can be bought from Amazon and is produced by Nordic Games. I also reviewed Wii Dance recently and think both games are ideal for Christmas.
Disclosure: The game was given without charge for the purpose of the review. Opinions are all my own.
