An Amazing Day at Badminton Horse Trials with Joules

After almost 8 years of blogging I have made some pretty great bloggy friends.  Friends that you love to spend time with in real life. Molly from Mother’s Always Right is one of those friends and she generously invited me as her plus one to An Amazing Day at Badminton Horse Trials with Joules . Joules are a clothing brand that I adore, if you look at my Instagram feed (do click follow whilst you are there) you’ll see Erin wearing lots of Joules even before Molly invited me! Joules have absolutely nailed children’s wear in recent seasons. The women’s wear has also been spot on especially their tops and boots.

Badminton Horse Trials is a big event in the equestrian calendar and takes place each year near Bath. Joules are the official partner and sell the official merchandise in addition to having their shopping stand.  The group of excited bloggers earlier and we headed off in convoy to the Badminton Estate.  Our first stop was at the Joules stand where we could the latest products.  I quickly spotted a coral cross body bag which I have since bought! The stand was a delight of colour and comfy wear.

Molly and I then went off in search of the horses.  I really enjoy a day at the races and I am a regular at Cheltenham Races but this was my first Badminton. The horses were pretty impressive and watching a horse literally walking with high knees or side stepping was impressive.

By the time lunch came around I was hungry and we feasted on a delightful lunch with plenty of bubbles. Joules sponsor one of the jumps and we ate in their caravan by the jump. By this time the sun had come out and we could have just feasted for the rest of the day!

However we dragged ourselves away from the drinks to explore a little more. We also took a few snaps of ourselves in our Joules wear.

I am wearing the Justine Grey Textured Blazer which fitted really well, was nice and thick so I didn’t need a jacket.  I love that it has the signature joules print inside the jacket.

The shirt is the Keeley Rosehip loose fitting shirt and the scarf is Wensley scarf.  I was prepared with some wellibobs but because the sun was shining I didn’t pull them on!

Once we had exhausted ourselves we all headed back to our hotel which was the beautiful Bath Spa Hotel, we got changed and headed out for dinner at Woods Restaurant.  It was time to relax, chat and be merry literally.  Blogging has given me such wonderful opportunities and I am always grateful to be part of campaigns and join in events with good company. For 24 hours I was able to switch off and enjoy myself without the anyone calling me mum.
