Why Cruising Holidays are Fabulous for Families

More families are considering cruising holidays these days, and why not? It gives you so many different types of holidays rolled into one. Cruising has grown in popularity recently and I have noticed this among my own friends who are opting for a no-fly holiday.

While it was once seen as a holiday older people took who were retired and enjoyed the lifestyle, cruising is fast becoming a great holiday option for everyone, especially families.

Accomodation

Cabins are generally graded according to size and/or position comprising 20 twin and single cabin categories to suit a wide range of pockets and tastes.  Cabins are more spacious by today’s cruise ship standards averaging 17-18 square meters with cabin types broadly classified as standard, superior, premium or de-luxe.  All cabins are air-conditioned with en suite facilities including a shower and ample storage space with room under the beds to store most suitcases. Most suites also have a bath tub – that’s probably not what you were expecting!

Cruising can be a lot of fun, and many say that once you try it, you can’t not do another one. But why is cruising a great holiday for families? Let’s explore some of the reasons why.

Ticking off places on your bucket list

Many of you will have your own bucket list. A list of places that you have been wanting to see for as long as you can remember. Often these involve experiences, as well as certain places and countries. But, what is stopping you from ticking off those places when it comes to taking holidays with your family? Surely you want to experience these places with the people you love the most?

This is where cruising on the Ambassador Cruise Line could be a great option. You get the chance to see many different places in one go. A cruise itinerary focuses on a specific area but gives you the opportunity to see places you might not have gotten to. Usually, one holiday would involve one destination, a cruise gives you the flexibility of having more than one.

A luxury holiday with the kids

When travelling with your family, you usually pick out accommodation and a location that is suitable for families. Often that isn’t the luxurious hotel you might once have stayed at as a couple. However, a cruise gives you the best of both worlds. You get plush and spectacular surroundings that are luxurious and beautiful, as well as being in a place that caters to family and children. It gives you the chance to enjoy a luxury holiday with the kids. The Ambassador is primarily an adults ship, but in the school holidays, there are trips that include more children. If you have teenagers and older kids then cruising will appeal more.

Different trips and things to do on cruising holidays

Taking a holiday means that you try and do a few different things alongside your beach and pool days. However, a cruise will give you the chance to enjoy and experience different excursions at each stop you make. This will likely enable the whole family to experience the location from a different perspective and in a way you may not have done before. Whether that is a guided tour, or just heading out and mooching around the area yourself, you get the chance to do things a little differently. It keeps you and the kids occupied and stimulated while still enjoying your holiday.

Entertainment onboard

Finally, hotel entertainment is usually good if you have chosen the right place, but nothing can beat the entertainment onboard a cruise. It is happening all day every day and there are specific areas that will cater to children of all ages. It means that as a family you all get to have the fun you want and to be thoroughly entertained. Facilities include plenty of adult entertainment from cinemas, evening shows, plays, cabarets, live music & classical interludes there really is something for everyone.

Let’s hope this has encouraged you to consider cruising holidays for your family.
