Jooki Review: The Kids Music Player

Kids love music and I always smile and laugh when I see Facebook or Youtube clips of kids dancing away to music. However, finding a kid’s music player that they can manage and control independently has been a problem until Jooki arrived on the scene. Jooki is a portable kid-friendly music player that can be used as an Mp3 player or with Spotify. I have recently been gifted the player, five figurines and memory card for this impartial Jooki Review

What does Jooki do?

Jooki is a wifi speaker and offers screen-free entertainment. It allows your toddler or kid to listen to music and or stories without needing access to any smartphones, apps or technology. The Jooki is a portable, splashproof kids music player. Each figurine has a playlist that you have created and when the child places the figurine on the unit the playlist starts. The parent/carer sets up the figurines using the free Jooki App and can then sit back knowing the child can use the music player with no more intervention.

What is in the Jooki box?

Inside the box is the Jooki base, a cable, five figurines and the instruction manual.

Once out of the box the kid’s music player is super easy to set up. You simply download the app to your phone and then connect the Jooki to the wifi. The Jooki has some pre programmed music or you can play your own spotify playlists if you have a premium account.

Erin had great fun helping me set up the playlists and linking them to the figurines. She very quickly mastered the speaker and I can see it being used lots. Erin is that bit older and I can see her using the speaker all the time. She loves dancing and making up routines and this speaker offers her the opportunity to have a portable speaker in her room or when in the car.

The Jooki is a fab piece of kit for younger ones who like music and what to be in control of what they are listening to. It gives them the choice of what to listen to. If you have more than one child you could even set it up so each child has their playlist on their chosen character, We liked the Disney playlist and we will all be sharing that one!

Jooki is available directly on the website. When I first agreed to the Jooki review I wasn’t sure if it was something we needed. However Erin has really taken to it and likes having the kids music player in her bedroom. For younger children it is a super way to let them have control of putting music on and off. The battery should last for a good eight hours too which means that you are not forever charging it up! The Jooki has impressed me and makes an ideal music player for children. It seems pretty indestructible, it is splashproof and hardy. Great for developing children.
