Modius Headset Review, Update and My Progress So Far #AD

Last month I shared how I was starting a three-month trial of the Modius headset which claims to aid weight loss by using electrical impulses directly into your head. It sounds weird and wonderful at the same time and in my first post, I shared my initial thoughts and what you receive in the box. The Modius review seems to have really interested readers and friends, both have asked me how I have been getting on with the modius headset so I thought I’d share how the last month has gone.

I have found a good time to wear the headset and have got into a good routine whereby I wear the headset from 7-8 in the evening. This works for me time wise as I am usually pottering around and maybe even watching Emmerdale at this time and so I stop and sit on my bed with my feet up for an hour. Sticking to the same time works for me as I like a routine! It means that I don’t forget and also I like to get it done early in the evening.

The headset needs to be worn for at least 5 days a week which is a big commitment, but again making it a habit at a regular time helps me manage this. My routine is that I pop the sticky pads on, just behind my ear and then I take the modius headset upstairs with me. Initially, I preferred to sit on my own in my room wearing it as I did feel a little spaced out with it. I like the tingling sensation, its very similar to a tens machine, which I have used in the past. However it did also make me a little dizzy and therefore I didn’t want to chat, so I took myself off to my room to just chill out.

How Does the Modius Headset Work?

The modius headset works on neuroscience and aims to beat your cravings by using electrical signals that are sent to the hypothalamus, which apparently controls appetite. The electrical signals can be felt and over the duration of using the modius headset you up the levels as your body gets used to it. Initially, it is a very strange sensation and can leave you feeling seasick but it is worth pushing through as that stage doesn’t last forever thankfully!

I have now got used to the sensation and can wander about and even do the washing up wearing the modius headset. I have found the battery life lasts really well and I only need to charge up the headset once or twice a week. The app works well with iPhone and tracks my usage accurately and even reminds me when it is time to start wearing it!

Have I lost weight wearing the Modius headset?

Yes this month I have lost weight and I am really pleased with the loss but I have been attending Iron Zuu three times a week and I have also been more mindful of what I am eating by following a High Protein Meal Plan. I have noticed a definite change to my snacking and I think that probably is down to the Modius headset as nothing else has really changed. I am eating nothing between meals and I am not thinking about food or what I might have as a snack.  When I do absentmindedly head to the kitchen for a snack I have found myself questioning what I want and been able to walk away as I didn’t really fancy the sweet treat that I would normally grab. I believe this weight loss is down to the three-pronged approach of moving more and wearing the headset and being in the right head space to make good positive choices regarding my food intake. It is hard to isolate one of these things but I do know that for me exercise alone is never enough as I have been exercising this way for a year and it is only when I look at my diet I see real changes.

I popped into my hairdresser’s this past weekend and one of them commented on how well I looked and said that I am looking fab. I have also bought a bikini for an upcoming holiday as I am feeling so much better about myself. I have said before that I neither love or hate my body but over the past few months I have been working really hard to get fit, stronger and I wanted to drop a dress size for me. To make me feel better both physically and emotionally. I am nearly at that point and I tend to stay here.

Therefore I do believe that the Modius headset is impacting positively on my weight loss. If you are interested to know more check out the Modius Website where there is currently a 20% discount on offer which saves you a whopping £73.80! This offer won’t be around for long either.

  1. Wow you are doing so well and I would love to be able to be mobile whilst using it. I have to sit very still!
